Beijing Chen Jinglun High School was established in 1921, and was originally known as Chongzhen School. Then it was renamed as Beiping No.4 High School for Girls, Beijing No.4 High School for Girls after the Liberation, and Chaoyang High School during China’s Cultural Revolution. In 1954, the school was accredited as key high school by Beijing municipal government. Renovated with the investment from a Hong Kong entrepreneur, Mr. Chen Jinglun in 1991, the school was then renamed as Beijing Chen Jinglun High School by Beijing municipal government. In 2002, the school became one of the first accredited demonstration high schools in Beijing. In 2003, the exploration of running group schools started and then Beijing Chen Jinglun High School Jiaming Branch School was established with nine-year compulsory education. Now Beijing Chen Jinglun High School is a famous school boasting both primary education and secondary education. At present, the school is under the construction of national demonstration high school.
